Kids Corner

Welcome to the Kids Corner! This section of our website is dedicated to kids of all ages whose parents are in the process of separating and divorcing, or whose parents have separated and divorced in the past. It’s a place where you can hear the thoughts of other kids who have been in a situation similar to your own. We hope it’s helpful to know that you’re not alone in how you feel, and that the thoughts of other kids will be reassuring to you.

Some of the thoughts about parents’ separation and divorce are shared through kids’ artwork, all of which was done by children and adolescents who have participated in our support groups at the Kids First Center.

A Child’s Story was written by a young girl in Portland, Maine, named Olivia. She has done a wonderful job of describing her experiences throughout her parents’ divorce. We’d like to give Olivia special thanks for letting us include her story on our website and hope you especially enjoy it.
